My wife and I graduated from Central Washington University last summer and left the schrub steppe desert of central Washington for moist Seattle. Jobs came almost immediately. For almost five months I tried to love my biotech enclosure but failed. People left, my responsibilities changed, and then I let go. Luckily the Peace Corps got around to inviting us to go teach some nice tropical people some tricky stuff in a language that we don’t speak.
We are humbled. We have since purchased and read numerous books to prepare for this change, and I recommend “Nine Hills to Nambankaha” and also “Burkina Faso” by the Bradt publishing company.
This LizinAfrica women must have the right stuff also, for Burkina is one primitive place.
